CALENDAR CONNECTIONS

How to combine TeamSnap, SportsEngine, GameChanger, and LeagueApps calendars

Connect each team directly to Family Assistant: Youth Sports (FA). FA becomes your family calendar and message center—no Apple, Google, or Outlook setup required.

Updated September 18, 2026About 5 minutesNo calendar middleman

Connect each team once. FA keeps up from there.

Bring TeamSnap, SportsEngine, GameChanger, and LeagueApps directly into FA. FA combines the schedules, watches for meaningful changes, and tells your family exactly what changed.

Where to find each schedule link

TeamSnap

TeamScheduleSubscribe / Export

Open the team schedule and copy its calendar subscription URL. If you belong to multiple teams, connect each team separately so FA can keep the child, team, and source clear.

LeagueApps

Choose the option that provides a live subscription or lets you copy its link. Avoid a one-time downloaded file when a subscription is available because the file will not reflect later LeagueApps changes.

SportsEngine

Team scheduleCalendar / ShareSync or Subscribe

Open the team schedule and look for calendar, share, sync, or subscription controls. If there is no visible link, ask the team administrator for the iCal link.

GameChanger

TeamScheduleCalendar options

Calendar availability can differ by team and device. Look in the team schedule and sharing options for the iCal or calendar subscription URL. When the URL appears, paste it into FA—or take a screenshot of the URL and let FA read it for you.

Connect your teams to FA

  1. Open Add schedule in FA. Choose the team app or calendar link.
  2. Add the iCal URL. Paste the link, or take a screenshot while the URL is displayed and upload it to FA. FA reads the URL from the screenshot so you do not have to copy and paste it. No personal calendar connection is required.
  3. Choose the child and team. Keep the source identity attached to every event.
  4. Review the preview. Confirm the season, time zone, and possible duplicates.
  5. Repeat for every team. FA brings them into one family calendar and message center.

Common problems

The schedule appears once but never changes

You may have used a downloaded ICS file instead of a live subscription link. Replace it with the team’s subscription URL so FA can check the source again.

The same game appears twice

This usually happens when the same game comes from two sources—for example, both TeamSnap and GameChanger. Open the incorrect or duplicate event, choose Edit Event, and delete it. FA keeps the remaining event and shows where it came from.

The team app changed but the family plan did not

A schedule feed can refresh slowly or omit the coach’s explanation. FA monitors connected schedules and email, then compares new information with the existing event.

A cancellation still looks like a game

Platforms represent cancellations differently. Some update the title, some remove the event, and some create a replacement. FA flags the difference instead of silently guessing.

Why connecting is only the beginning

A merged calendar may show the latest event. FA explains that practice moved from 7:00 to 6:00, updates the right event, and tells your family what it did.
